still stuck on him

excerpt from Andrew Wyeth a Secret Life by Richard Meryman:

"When Wyeth painted a portrait of Christina holding a kitten sick from eating too many mice, he would say, 'I'd better wash your face.' She would answer, 'All right.' As he moved a cloth into the folds of that heavy,wrinkled face, up around her ears, he once said, 'Christina, you have the most marvelous end to your nose, a little delicate thing that happens.' On her face was a smile close to rapture. Wyeth says, 'Touching that head was a terrific experience for me. I was really in awe of it.' Then he adds, 'She was just like blueberries to me.' "
